This is how it works: step by step, with plenty of humour, straight to the action.

At Mossels from Brossels we bring playfulness back to teams.

As a snack or as a main course.
We organize surprising team building and targeted team coaching sessions that stimulate creativity, strengthen dynamics and truly connect teams.

Our working methods? From energizers to in-depth workshops, from playful interventions to our unique, experiential trajectories full of wonder, confusion and valuable insights.

We take care of the entire organization of your team moment — with a big twist.
In short: You bring your team, we'll stir the pot. Ready to break open fixed patterns?

Ps. No, we do not sell mussels.

What we stand for

“When do you still take the time to play?” That question is our compass. Because playing is not child's play.
Play is oxygen for teams. A safe place to collide, build, fail and try again. It is the language of the jester — our mascot, our guide, our superhero in his playful disguise, “Mosselman”.

“We let the normal wobble happen. And that’s exactly where movement arises.”

Why ‘Mossels from Brossels’? Because the name piques your curiosity. And curiosity is where every amazing experience begins.

Our vision on collaboration

Behind every mussel pot lie four core beliefs. They shape everything we do.

Creativity as the highest good.

Generating new ideas, innovating, tackling complex challenges: all of this requires an environment centred on optimal collaboration. Creativity only truly flourishes when people feel heard, valued and connected to the team’s goals. Idea management plays a key role in this: encouraging, gathering and applying ideas from all levels of the team.

The power of the minority vote.

In any collaboration, there is enormous power in the voice that does not simply go along with the majority. With Deep Democracy, we bring that voice to the fore and make use of it. It is precisely in the tension between different perspectives that space for innovation arises.

A healthy team culture as a foundation.

A healthy team culture provides fertile ground on which an organisation can build a solid foundation. Teams develop in stages, and each stage deserves careful attention. Clear values, transparent communication and a culture of feedback ensure that people feel safe to speak their minds, including about tensions that lie just beneath the surface.

Individuals as the building blocks of success.

The strength of an organisation lies in the people it brings together. Giving everyone the space to express their talents, motivations and stories fosters a sense of connection – both with one another and with the organisation. And it is precisely that trust that forms the basis for building bridges, both between colleagues and between departments.

How does it work?

1. Ask your question.

Have a look at our range of workshops and team-building activities. Not sure what your team needs? Just ask – we’d be happy to help you find the right solution.

2. Introduction.

We’ll arrange a meeting and get to the bottom of your enquiry. What do you want to achieve? What’s going on within the team? We’ll also take into account what lies beneath the surface.

3. Customised proposal.

Based on your requirements, we’ll put together a bespoke programme within a week. Every game is tailor-made, in collaboration with our partners at the most beautiful locations in Brussels.

4. Playing and anchoring.

You’ll have adventures, laugh, clash and build. We’ll guide you and keep the goal in sight. After the fun comes reflection, so that the experience sticks in the workplace. Step by step towards better collaboration.

What can you expect?

Each format has its own template. Choose the one that best suits your needs, or feel free to combine them.

Six steps, every single time.

1. Countries. Arrive, and put aside whatever was still in your inbox that morning. We won’t start until everyone is actually here.

2. Playing together. The team builds a shared experience. Laughing, clashing, trying things out; everyone is in it together.

3. Reflect. What just happened? Who took the lead, and who held back? The game becomes a mirror.

4. A touch of theory. Just enough context to understand the experience. No marathon of slides, I promise.

5. Experimenting. Try it again, but this time differently. Put new insights into practice straight away in a safe environment.

6. Anchoring. What are we taking back to the workplace? Concrete agreements, so that it doesn’t just end up being a fun day.

First experience it, then understand it, then put it into practice. That’s how it sticks.

Expect… the unexpected.

A surprising structure. Your team has no idea what’s in store. Teasers in the run-up to the event spark curiosity, and the day itself is full of twists and turns.

Out-of-the-box elements. No rope courses or off-the-shelf quizzes. Every activity has been tailor-made, with a twist.

Unique partners in Brussels. We work with organisations in Brussels that do something unique and tell a compelling story. Your team will experience the city in a way no tourist ever does.

And it always results in a connection. We also make a conscious effort to build in pure fun. Play first, then connect.

A single session plants a seed. A programme helps it to grow. Here’s what a programme might look like:

Session 1: the ‘aha’ moment. Building trust, taking a broad view and working together to identify the first steps and actions.

Online peer review (2 hours). Building on what emerged in Session 1, the group is given the opportunity to raise questions and discuss challenges. Using a peer review approach, colleagues learn from one another and offer each other solutions.

Session 2: Seeing with fresh eyes. A follow-up session to explore alternative ways of working together and communicating. Connective communication features prominently here.

Online peer review (2 hours). A second opportunity to discuss practical questions and challenges.

Session 3: new steps forward. An action-oriented workshop designed to take concrete steps.

Afterwards. A call with the work team: what steps have already been taken, and what still needs to be done from here on?

Every programme is tailor-made. The rhythm is the common thread: experiencing, processing, embedding.
