In July 2025, a special team event took place in Brussels for the team of Culture Moves Europe (Geuthe Institute). The goal was to celebrate three years of collaboration and also to strengthen reflection, communication, and team dynamics. A milestone in the project!
Culture Moves Europe supports artists and cultural professionals in 40 countries and had helped 7,000 people before the new phase of the project began.
It was a moment of pause and renewal before the next steps were taken.
We were allowed to help with mussels from brossels to ensure the team event ran smoothly.
The two-day workshop offered a nice balance between playful elements and substantive depth.
The program was imbued with experiential learning and creative working methods which not only challenged the team, but also promoted mutual communication and collaboration.
No heavy PowerPoint presentations, but rather interactive activities that invited participants to collaborate, reflect and grow.
With a team of 20 employees, it was important to create an event that would be both educational and enjoyable.
The event took place in the creative space of Wiels in Brussels, an environment that perfectly matched the team's cultural character. The program content was carefully tailored to both strengthen internal collaboration and enable the team to formulate concrete actions for the future.
We had a two-day team workshop with Brossels from Mossels and it was a fantastic experience!
Gert-Jan did a fantastic job, and we are very grateful to him for responding so effectively to our team's needs and adjusting the program where necessary. There were some great moments, but also a lot of personal and collective reflection. It was a very productive and enjoyable time, even though we were all quite exhausted in the end, but it was a good feeling nonetheless.

The first day began with an interactive check-in where team members shared their current state or strengths. This created a light and open atmosphere, which was essential for the rest of the workshop.
The team was then challenged with a series of game-based learning activities that put project management, self-organization, and time management into practice. The goal was not only to test the team's skills but also to foster collaboration and communication. Games such as the "silent coordination game" and a "role-based strategy game" helped to gain insight into the team dynamics and how leadership can emerge in different ways.
After the games, there was time for reflection, with team members sharing their observations during the activities. What worked well? What was challenging? And, most importantly, what could be improved?
The centerpiece of the day was the creative session, in which the team was challenged to explore their talents and roles within the group. Using the "Talents in the Collective" model, team members reflected on their natural roles within the team and how these influenced their interactions. This session concluded with a collective artwork, further strengthening team connections.

The second day was all about looking ahead. A brainstorming session encouraged the team to translate their vision for the future into concrete actions. What were the key lessons they wanted to take away? What changes needed to be made to achieve the objectives of Culture Moves Europe?
At the end of the day, there was time for collective reflection on the past two days and the formulation of key action points for the coming period. The team felt inspired and motivated to move forward with renewed energy.
The event was a resounding success. The team left with a stronger bond, a clearer shared vision, and concrete steps to improve collaboration. Some key insights included:
The event concluded with a festive celebration of three years of collaboration, during which the team not only reflected on the successes but also looked ahead with confidence as they entered the new phase.
This team event was more than just a workshop; it was a milestone in the journey of Culture Moves Europe. The combination of playful elements, reflection, and creative sessions laid the foundation for the next phase of the project. The team left with renewed energy and strengthened collaboration, ready to further expand their mission.
